A virus pandemic shocked me to the core

Didn’t know about google classroom, did no school work at all

First excitement, until this went on ….. and on ….. and on ….. YAWN

Then suddenly, as if from outer space, zoomed into a lesson at dawn

A gregarious friend with google chrome, I didn’t even have to leave home

Days later still, returned to school without resistance

Safe at school, if we keep a 2- metre distance

I greet a few of my ‘long since I have seen’ friends

All with great enthusiastic beams

I haven’t been to school for a century, or so it seems
