Stephen Hawking: A Successful and Brilliant Scientist

Stephen Hawking, a British scientist, professor and author who produced outstanding work in physics and cosmology, sadly died on the 14th March 2018 in Cambridge. His books helped make science accessible to everyone. Stephen was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at the age of 21, however this did not limit his scientific discoveries.

Some called him a “Superhero Scientist”.

Stephen was born on 8th January 1942 and was expected to live a very short life but surpassed 76 years of age!

Hawking developed many significant theories such as the Black Hole. He won various awards including: The Presidential Medal of Freedom, Special Fundamental Physics prize, Copley Medal and many more.

We are just an advance breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the universe. That makes us very special.
